UK PARENT OF A CHILD STUDENT VISA FOR SWISS RESIDENTS
The UK Parent of a Child Student Visa allows one Swiss (or non-Swiss) parent residing in Switzerland to come to or stay in the UK to care for their child(ren) who are studying at an independent fee-paying school under a UK Child Student Visa.
Requirements for a Parent of a Child Student Visa for Swiss Residents
To qualify for a Parent of a Child Student Visa from Switzerland, you must meet the following criteria set by UK Visas & Immigration:
Age: Be aged 18 or over.
Parent Status: Be the parent of a child who has, or is simultaneously applying for, entry clearance or permission to stay as a Child Student.
Other Parent: The Child Student’s other parent is not in the UK and is not seeking to come to the UK.
Child's Age: The Child Student is aged between 4 and 11 years old and has, or is simultaneously applying for, entry clearance or permission to stay as a Child Student.
Living Arrangements: Intend to live with the Child Student during your stay in the UK.
Financial Support: Have enough money to support yourself without relying on public funds.
Home Intentions: Not intend to make the UK your main home and have sufficient funds to maintain your main home outside the UK.

Parent of a Child Student Visa Financial Requirement for a Resident of Switzerland
Generally, Swiss residents must have £1,560 for each month of intended stay in the UK (up to a maximum of 9 months), plus £625 for each month (up to a maximum of 9 months) for any child other than the Child Student under the applicant's care in the UK.
You must hold these funds for at least 28 consecutive days, ending no more than 31 days before your visa application date.
Exceptions:
If you have been in the UK with permission for more than 12 months, you are deemed to meet the financial requirement and do not need to show funds.
If applying together with the Child Student for either entry clearance or leave to remain, and both have lived in the UK for less than 12 months, you satisfy the financial requirement if the Child Student meets their financial requirement.
Switching into the Parent of a Child Student Route
If you currently have valid leave to remain in the UK, you can switch to the Parent of a Child Student route, provided you do not have, or were not last granted, permission to stay as a Visitor, Short-term Student, or outside the Immigration Rules.
Duration of Stay on a Parent of a Child Student Visa
If your Parent of a Child Student visa application is successful, your visa will be granted to expire at the same time as the Child Student’s visa or on the Child Student’s 12th birthday, whichever comes sooner.
Can Both Parents Travel from Switzerland to the UK?
Only one parent is permitted to travel to the UK on a Parent of a Child Student Visa, even if multiple children are attending school. The other parent may enter as a visitor for short stays or apply under a different immigration category.
Working on a Parent of a Child Student Visa
Parent of a Child Student Visa holders are not permitted to work in the UK.
Studying on a Parent of a Child Student Visa
Parent of a Child Student Visa holders are not permitted to study in the UK.

You will not live in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits, or make the UK your main home;
Your application does not fall for refusal under the general grounds for refusal.
